I had our paternal dna tested (my brother). Ancestry provided me with a list of close connections. Five of those names were within that last 3 generations, or approx 75 years. However, all of them have a different last name than mine (Duggan). How can that be if the paternal dna is tracked along the male line from father to son and so on?
I'm confused? Can someone help here? Thank you.
