A memorial of the indented deeds of lease and release bearing the date
respectively the twenty second and twenty third days of March one
thousand seven hundred and thirty the deed of lease being made and
perfected between
the said John Dixon of Drumkee in the parish of Killaman County of Tyrone,
gent of one part
and William Richardson Esq.of Derrygally
and John Houston gent of Drumkee aforesaid, both in the
said parish and county
and the deed of release being made and perfected between the said John Dixon
of the first part,
Francis Cardell of True in the said parish and county of the second part
and ....William Richardson and John Houston of the third part.
Whereas the said John Dixon for the consideration therein mentioned
did grant and confirm unto the said ....Richardson and John Houston
all that full eight part of the townland of (Ballyna?) kelly in the said parish
and county the real estate and freehold of the said John Dixon ...
.his actual possession and in the possession of his undertenants
situate as aforesaid in the parish of Killyman and the County of Tyrone.
To have and to hold the premises unto the said William Richardson
and John Houston their heirs and assigns for ever to? And for the uses intents and purposes in the said
deed of release mentioned that is...the full moiety of the said granted
premises to the use of the said John Dixon and Jane his wife during
their natural lives and the successors of them and the other....
To assure for the use of Thomas Dixon son to the said John Dixon and
after the death? of the said John Dixon and Jane his wife the whole
eighth part of the townland of Ballynakelly to be vested in the said
Thomas Dixon and his heirs lawfully begotten and procreated on the body
of Elizabeth his intended wife, and failing such heirs of the said
Thomas Dixon lawfully procreated on the body or bodies of .....wife or
wives and at the determination of that estate the.......(possessions or
premises) to go? priure? to Sarah Cardell als Dixon, Martha Dixon and
Mary Dixon, daughters of the said John Dixon to be equally divided among
them and to be and remain to their respective heirs of their bodies
lawfully begotten and to the survivors or survivor of them and their
heirs and failing such issue to pass to the use of the right heirs of
John Dixon for ever with a provision in the said deed of release
contained that one third part of the said granted premises be the
jointure of the said Elizabeth, the said Thomas Dixon's intended wife
during her natural life after the decease of the said Thomas with a
clause also that soon after the said intended marriage takes effect, the
said Francis Cardell will pay or secure to be paid the marriage portion
of fifty pounds to the said Thomas Dixon as by the said deed of release
executed by the said John Dixon, Francis Cardell, William Richardson and
John Houston Relation being thereunto had may appear which deeds are
witnessed by ......

son of Alice Houston, of Craigs, co. Antrim, 2nd dau of John Houston of Craigs and
