wow! Thank you so much for all the info! Are you in Dublin or did you find all this on line? I'm so unversed w/ Galway and you've given me some departure points.
I have a Kerry side that is pretty fleshed out thanks to irishgenealogy.ie, but this galway side is daunting!
Thank you also for the tip on James Herlihy's book - it took 4 weeks to get here from the UK, and, unfortunately, only lists 1700 higher ranked officers - the lowly, everyday RIC aren't mentioned...back to the drawing board.
I might have to make a special trip back to Dublin, and then, I guess to the churches in that part of Galway you listed. I will be in Kerry in May. Maybe I'll go back in the fall and just make it a research trip..
