Hi Pat,
Thank you for the information on Bart. I bet he would never have imagined that people would be looking for information on him over a 100yrs later.
I'm not sure that he is buried in Fleetwood as my mum, his granddaughter, visited the cemetary regularly to put flowers on my father's grave and also on her inlaws. I don't recall her mentioning Bartholomew. I just wish I had asked more questions whilst my mum was alive.
My mum, Winnie, was killed in 1993 in a road accident in Fleetwood. She was at the zebra crossing near the library at the top of town when a driver, who wasn't paying attention ploughed right in to her. Mum was 82. It was very sad as she had all her faculties about her and was bright as a new penny.
I live in Cleveleys now. I was brought up in Fleetwood and was an icelandic fisherman for many years until the industries demise in the late 70s. I actually sailed with people called Mcloughlin and now I wonder if any of them were my relations; isn't that strange? Its only since the advent of computers that I have been able to pursue genealogy. I get great pleasure from it but it can be frustrating at times when you are looking for the missing link.
It was nice to hear from you and find out more about Bartholomew.
Thank you,
John
