Martin King and his brother, Thomas (my husband's grandfather b. 1873),were born in Feigh (Feagh), County Galway, as were three other siblings who remained in Ireland to the best of my knowledge. Martin and Thomas moved to England as young men, and eventually came to the US to Manhattan close to the turn of the century where they worked on the docks.
Thomas, his wife Bridget Dempsey, and their seven children lived in Manhattan until moving to Brooklyn about 1930.
By the 1902 Census, Martin and family were residing on Willow Avenue in Hoboken, NJ. He and his wife, Mary (Moira) Higgins also had seven children of whom I'm aware, born between approximately 1902 and 1915 in NY -
