Edward & Mary Monaghan had issue - Terence b.c. 1841, Mary Ann b.c. 1841 (?), Margaret b.c. 1840, Eliza b.c. 1842, Hugh, James, John & Jane. ( Dates of birth of children uncertain or unknown.)

Mary Ann emigrated to Victoria, Australia c. 1855 -60 followed later by her parents and the rest of her siblings c. 1863 settling in the country town of Kilmore in the State of Victoria.

Mary Ann m. Orcadian George Leslie at Kyneton, Victoria 22 April, 1860, they moved to New Zealand c. 1862.
