In the church records released for the Diocese of Cork and Ross, I found the baptismal record for Catherine Scott, in Bantry. I already knew her parents' names were William Scott and Jane Carroll.
Baptism: 1825 27 Feb ; Bantry, Cork, Ireland ; Sponsors Cors [Cornelius] Croneen & Ansty [Anastasia] McCarthy.
Many Irish Catholic church records are online free at the website irishgenealogy.ie and more are being added. Searchable indexes, but try different versions such as Jere = Dermot = Jeremiah.
For many, a photocopy of the handwritten record is attached. Catherine's surname was indexed as LEATT, but the handwritten record looks much more like SCOTT. Corrections can be submitted.
