My 3xGr Grandfather Abraham Farrell b abt 1792 and Jane Clark abt 1796, were shown as parents of John Farrell b. abt 1821 (all of Drumhome, Donegal)on the church records of St Mary's RC Cathedral in Kingston, Ontario, when young John married Mary O'Gara in 1845. The day before the marriage, John signed an abjuration (profession of faith and rejection of his protestant heresy!).

John and Mary had a son John in 1848 (in the same church register with same priest), and in 1851, Mary marries a Jeremiah Crowley (same priest's name). I looked all through the church register for John Farrell (sr)in the interments, but found nothing. He would have only been abt 28 yrs old, and if he died, he should have been buried in St Mary's.

Wondering if his mother Jane Clark was married before Farrell to a Clark, so that Abraham Farrell is John Farrell's stepfather. Maybe he's actually a Clark. I found two listings in Ireland Death Index -- "Jane Clark Ors Farrell AND Jane Farrell Ors Clark."

I used rootsireland.ie and found Abraham and Jane kids, but none are John or his bro Abraham. Perplexing. Appreciate any suggestions or info.
