My great-grandfather was James McClafferty, born in 1843 in Donegal, Ireland. He married Ann Kelly, in 1871, and then in 1883, migrated to Lanark, Scotland. He later moved to Carstairs Village in Scotland. I am trying to find out more about him and his wife, Ann--I know that he was 28 when they married and she was 17. If anyone has information on the McClaffertys of Donegal who worked on the Stuart estate at Ards, I would love to talk to them.
