I am researching a Peter Spellasay/Spellacy, seaman on His Majesty's brig, Martial (1829), son of Morison Spellasay, labourer, Cork. Peter married in the Isel of Bute, Scotland in 1829.

Can anyone tell me if Spellasay was a common name in Cork?
