I'm wondering if anyone can help, please?

I'm trying to track down my great grandfather, Garrett Cotter's family. He emigrated to Australia about 1880, and married Mary Ann Howard in 1883. The marriage certificate, shows his father as Garrett, and his mother as Mary Foley.

I also have a baptism certificate for him dated 26 Jan 1854 showing his name as Gareth, his father also as Gareth, and his mother as Abigail Foley. The parish is shown as Rathcormac. There is also a note referencing the wedding so I am fairly confident it is correct despite the names discrepancy.

That is all the information I have been able to find.

I am hoping someone maybe able to shed some light on his siblings or parents please.
