I am trying to break through a serious brick wall. I have a Mary (Mariah or Marie) Coakley listed as my great grandmother born about 1881. She married a man with last name of McCallum (that is way we spell it today). They three children Hector was born in Hong Kong about 1903, Lily was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia about 1904 and Edward (my grandfather) who was also born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia about 1901 and Jerome who was born in Ireland about 1913.

I do not know the first name of her husband, but on the manifest from 1925 when she and Jerome came to the US there is a handwritten note that the whereabouts of her husband is unknown and that her last address was with a cousin by the name of Kate Cullinane.

I have tried all variants of the name McCallum and even contacted the official Clan McCallum to try and track down some information - but I am striking out. Family members have no information that is of use. So here I am hoping that there is someone who might be able to help break through this brick wall.
