Ireland in 1827 and immigrated to the U.S., arriving in New Orleans in 1849. At some point, he moved on to St. Louis, MO, where he was living by 1866 when his son Jeremiah Joseph O'Rourke was born. Sometime between his arrival and the birth of his son, he married Mary Fay, also from Ireland. Mary died in St. Louis in 1886 and Jeremiah died in St. Louis in 1907. His death certificate states that his parents were James O'Rourke and Mary O'Brien. I would appreciate any information on these families.
