Hello Fiona, I do not know if your are still looking into the "Siberry" name, I actually came across this site by mistake and am glad i did. My maiden name is "Siberry" my father was Noel Siberry whom was Richard Siberrys' (Sligo) son. My father was from family of 4, there are 3 sisters Josephiine, Florrie and Ruth.
Hope this may be of interest to you.

Re: Relatives in the Sligo area called Siberry
I notice that your surname is Siberry.
I'm trying to trace my mothers side of the family, her maiden name was Siberry.
Her father was one of 6 children born to a David Siberry in Silgo Ireland.
They were Annabella, William, Thomas b1870, Robert b1872, Christopher b1878 and David b1874 all lived in and around Silgo.
My Grandad Thomas Siberry owned a draper shop in Dublin.
Siberry is an unusual name and I was wondering if there is a link.
Thanks
Colin

Re: Relatives in the Sligo area called Siberry
My mother just passed away in January '09. Her maiden name was Siberry. Her father's name was Dave Siberry who came to Canada from Ireland as a young man. My mother in her lifetime had met a great uncle by the name of Dick Siberry in Ireland and was shown the family's thatched cottage. I believe it was in county Sligo. I would like to find out more and someday visit the area.
