Dear Long Lost Cousin Tom
Does your message ring a bell? It rings every bell loud and clear. We have a family connection that we must discuss as soon as possible.
I have searched for evidence of my great great grandfather's marriage in Massachusetts for years. His first born child was born there. He was there in 1853 and arrived in Sydney, Australia in 1855. He has some 360 descendents here!
I am descended from Michael Casey who also resided at Doon with your Anthony. If you look at the Griffiths Valuation you will see Michael and Anthony Casey listed. Also listed is Ann Bruggy, Michael's mother. I have been to Kilfenora and Doon on at least three occasions.
Anthony married Bridget Clooney on 21 February 1841. They had 10 Children; Anthony 1842, Honora 1844, Patrick 1847, Margaret 1849, James 1852, Ellen 1853, Anthony 1856, Mary 1858, Bridget 1860 and John 1862. I have the names of the sponsors at the baptisms of all of the above children.
I have been to Natick and seen the Roman Catholic Cemetery with James and Margaret Casey's grave and other former residents of Kilfenora. I have researched the Casey family for about 15 years. What a joy to stujmble on your message. Sorry it has taken me so long to link up with you.
There is much more that I can tell you about our Casey family.Give me your address, phone number etc so that we can begin the runification of the Casey diaspora.
