Hello! My grandfather, Francis Kiernan was born in Gowna, (Scrabby), Co. Cavan April 10, 1850. Francis married Anne Brady, born June 1, 1853. His brother Luke was born Dec. 31, 1835. Other children were John, James born 1838, Thomas, Ellen and/or Ann, born Oct. 18, 1845.
Their parents were John Kiernan and Ellen (Nellie) McDanial. They were born in the early 1800's. We've been told that my great-grandfather John's generation may have come from Co. Longford. We do not know any of John's siblings.
