William and Jane (nee McGaw) Brown married in Ireland about 1862, I think had 3 children & then came to Australia where they had 6 more children (1st in 1869 in Brisbane, Qld).
Records in Australia show William's father as Samuel Brown & Jane's father as Robert McGaw.
William registered his son James birth in 1880 and lists his age as 42 (1838) & birthplace as Cootehill Cavan Ireland & his wife as Jane formerly McGaw with age as 40 (1840) & birthplace as Monaghan Ireland.
The children's names are Samuel, Sarah Jane, Mary Ellen, Elizabeth, William, Margaret, David & James Robert.
Any help tracing this family in Ireland would be appreciated.
