hello there
my mum and I are doing the family tree, partly because I dearly want the history of our roots to hand down to my children and theirs - and partly because my mum misses her parents and wonders about all the tales we were told!!! so it keeps it all alive for her and obviously we have little in the way of resources(money) so we can't pay people to do this for us, but that is half the fun for me anyway!!!
BUT it is really frustrating when you get to a stand still and have no way whatsoever to get over it...hence this notice;)
I have found a ships passenger record for 1863 to Canada
FRANSIS MCMULLEN - MAGHERA county cavan
it lists his age and this is exactly right for the year of birth we have - although it is spelt francis mcmullen 1843 in ours
also - we have a griffiths/tithe app. land record for 1831-41
JAMES MCMULLEN - MAGHERA county cavan
this is the father of the boys,so im sure we have the right place...BUT WE NEED MORE TO ABSOLUTELY PROOVE IT!!! can anyone please help us??????????
