I am looking for information on Patrick Murray from County Carlow. Reading from these postings his name could also have been MacMurrough, or MacMorrough.

Patirck was born March 17, 1817 in Carlow County, and left for the New York May of 1836 from Belfast. He ended up in Ohio where married Sarah Lautzenheiser in 1853. He worked on the railroad, and in an accident he lost both of his legs.

The story goes that he contacted his family in Carlow County for help, the told him they would take him and the children but not the Dutchman, he then broke off relations with his family and thats all we know. He was also suppose to be from some kind of royalty. I thought that was crazy, but from what I have found out it may be true.

PS Patirck and Sarah went on and had 17 children in all, he worked until his late 70's.
