My grandmother is listed as Marianne Errill on 1911 cencus as a nurse child aged four in Byrnes of Ardnahue, Carlow. She later was known as Sis (Mary) Byrne. Her father is claimed to be Dr. Edward McDonald from Burrin Street, Carlow and formerly of Primrose Hill, Carlow. Im looking to find out who the mother of Marianne Errill (Mary-Sis Byrne)is. Does anyone have any information on Dr. Edward McDonald, Byrnes in Ardnahue c1906. I cannot locate a birth or baptisimal cert for my grandmother. How would she have married without a birth or baptisimal cert. Is there any other avenue I can take to find out the history of the mystery?
