Looking for ancestors of / information about James Drennan born in Ireland about 1816. He married Letitia Carson (born about 1812 in Ireland) and they had at least one child, John Drennan born about 1844 before they emigrated to Inchinnan, Scotland. The connection to Ireland was maintained because in the 1881 Scottish census there was a Margaret Carson, born about 1865 in Ireland, living with my great grandparents Robert Sharp Gilchrist and Letitia (Scottish born daughter of James &Letitia Drennan). Any clues as to where in Ireland they came from would be much appreciated.
