My GGGrandmother, Margaret Hughes McGuirk, was a daughter of John and Sarah Collins Hughes. I believe she was born in Armagh. Margaret married Arthur McGuirk in Loughgall in 1850. Daughter Sarah was born ca 1852 & son Patrick ca 1854. Arthur died before 1857 when his widow Margaret married James Kimlahan in Armagh City. They and her children emigrated to Poughkeepsie NY in 1858. Do you see any connection besides a Margaret Hughes as godmother to your Patrick?
