My roots through both my parents are in Antrim Northern Ireland. Having moved there from Scotland, they moved on to America in the early 1700's.
The earliest Geddes was Paul Geddes who was born there c1660. His sons, Samuel and James were born in Randallstown
c1703-04. James and his three sons, Paul, William and Samuel (all born in Randallstown c1730-1740)immigrated to Pennsylvania, USA. I would certainly like to know more about this family.
The earliest Lynn was Charles who was born c1700 in Antrim Co. (In 1757, his sister, Elizabeth Lynn who married Capt. John Patton, was still living there). At least three of Charles' sons settled in Virginia USA, William, Michael, and John. It is believed that all of these sons were born in Antrim County in c1720-30. I sure hope someone can provide more leads.
