Quayle-Hancock marriage Kirk Michael WW1

Is anyone able to look up any marriage information for me at all?

Alice QUAYLE (b abt 1890 Kirk Michael) married Edward Thomas HANCOCK (b abt 1882 in New Zealand) about 1917/18. They returned to NZ soon after.

Tom Hancock was in the NZ army during WW1 - what could he possibly be doing on the Isle of Man! Can anyone shed any light on that? (I am trying to obtain his service record).

I have traced Alice's family back through the census'. Her parents were Daniel Alfred QUAYLE and Eleanor COSTAIN.

Thanks,
Bronwyn in NZ

Hi Bronwyn,

Did you ever get a reply to this that answered your enquiry? Edward Thomas Hancock was my grandfather and I have a copy of his army records from when he served in France in 1917.

Hi Steve,
I have the info now, didn't get any replies and forgot all about it until I found I was able to access his service record on Archway. He was my children's great grandfather. Thanks for you reply :)

That's great to hear. I also have his servic erecords and three photos of his time in the Army. I am also in ossession of his war medals which I wear on ANZAC Day. I am in the RNZAF and live in Auckland. i can send you copies of the photos and a photo of the medals if you would like them. I have also been trying to track down some large framed photos of Grandad and his unit that have apprently been donated to the Army Museum at Waiouru.
