Do you have an ancestor of this name? If so, attached photo might be of interest. Saw this memorial plaque in the Upper Barracca Gardens, Valletta Harbour.It commemorates his drowning in Salonika Harbour in 1899 and was erected by the men under his command, so must have been well thought of.
(My mainden name is Walters, hence the interest.)
