Hi I was wondering how would you travel back to Ireland from Aston Birmingham in about 1930.

Pretty much the same way that many people do the same journey now. Train from Birmingham to the appropriate port then boat to the nearest port to the Irish destination. Which port would very much depend on whereabouts in Ireland the person was travelling to.

The usual ports would be Liverpool or Holyhead on Anglesey in North Wales. U.K. passenger lists only exist for ocean going voyages.
