Hi, Basically i'm able to trace back my ancestors for as long as they are in England. However inevitably each line leads to Ireland. Which you need a lot more detail to search.

Somebody has previously told me to look at their church marriage records in england as they will have more detail than the marriage certificates, i.e names of the mothers, parents address, place of birth etc. I just wondered does anybody know how i can do this? Do I go to the church as it is now and ask where they are kept? I tried a libary but all i found was the same marriage certificates, am i looking in completely the wrong place??
