Has anyone ever had much luck with finding a death notice or an obit in a local English newspaper ? I have finally gotten a date of death for my ggggmother who died in Sheffield in 1883 at the age of 88 (makes her birth date 1795/6), but have not had any luck trying to find out her parents names. I have her marriage info from 1823 and no family members were recorded. It's a long shot that they would be listed in a notice in the paper, if there was even a notice at all. But - I want to check every option I can think of !
