Hi I am trying to determine if a John Reed who was convicted of forgery in 1838 and transported to Tasmania is my relative. I have found newspaper clipping about the trial in the York Gazette and York Herald but this hasn't helped nor has the transportation documentation. He apparently married an Elizabeth North so I am hoping the records might give me a link to this.
So since I live in Australia does any one know of a website that will allow me to access these records.
