John and Catherine came to Selby from Ireland. They were married in the catholic Church in Selby on 19th May 1862. They lived for 30 years in South Parade, Selby where they raised a family Patrick 1863-1894; Thomas 1864; Michael 1870-1914; Mary 1872; John 1875; James 1878; Martin 1880; Bridget 1883; Edward 1887. Catherine died sometime between 1891 and 1901. John died as a result of an accident 14th June 1900.
