Is there anybody who can help me find a baptism record for my 4x Great Grandfather - Thomas ARMITAGE, born Cowton, Yorkshire c1784/5

Unfortunately the information I have records his place of birth variously simply as Cowton, or East Cowton (1851 census) or South Couton (baptism register of son 1810).

My estimated year of birth is based on the 1851 census return which gives his age as 67 and the 1841 census which states that he is 56, although I know that he was married in Heighington, Co Durham in 1806, which would not be out of line with that estimate

I am sorry that I cannot be more helpful but any help that you can give will be extremely welcome
