Well everyone I have been sorting out all the info I have managed to find (thanks again everyone for your help) and this is what I found.......

William Grayson Dobson - baptised 15th March 1832 - Ellerburn

Mother - Christiana Dobson - born between 1810 and 1813 - Farndale

Father - Thomas Grayson - born between 1798 and 1800 - Pickering

Married 11th April 1834 in Ellerburn

Christiana Dobson died Jan - March 1810 (aged 70) in Pickering

Thomas Grayson - died April 1862 in Pickering

1841 Census
Thomas - 35 - 1806 - Yorkshire
Christiana - 25 - 1816 - Yorkshire
Thomas - 6 - 1835 - Yorkshire
George - 3 - 1838 - Yorkshire
John - 1 - 1840 - Yorkshire - baptised 15/4/1840 - Pickering

William Grayson Dobson isn't shown in this household but is shown in Farndale......

William Dobson - 9 - 1832 - Lastingham
Sarah Dobson - 65 - 1776 (thinking this is his grandmother)

Look as I might on the 1841 census I cannot find this so thank you crusoe123 for supplying it.

Christiana - 38 - 1813 - Farndale
Sarah - 9 - 1842 - Pickering
Robert - 5 - 1846 - Pickering

John - 50 - 1846 - Pickering (Thomas Graysons brother ?)

No idea as yet what happened to young Thomas - George and John from 1841 census although found a death report for young Thomas - down as Thomas DOBSON Grayson (bit of a reverse from William GRAYSON Dobson) April 1863 in Pickering.

1861 Census
Thomas - 62 - 1799 - Pickering
Christiana - 49 - 1812 - Farndale
Sarah - 17 - 1844 - Pickering
Harry - 5 - 1856 - Scalla Moor

1871 Census (now this gets interesting)
Christiana - 60 - 1811 - Farndale
Thomas - 35 - 1836 - Farndale
George - 32 - 1839 - Ellerburn

Then we also get - George Stephenson - SON - 25 - 1846 - Thornton Dale. Now there's a surprise - methinks she is a bit of a 'one' this Christiana....LOL.

Still more investigating to do for my friend but wanted to let you all know what I have so far and thank you yet again for your help.
