I am looking for any information related to John Sanderson, born in Pickering, Yorkshire Co., England c. 1793. He served in the British Army, and is believed to have been involved in action in Portugal against Napolean's army before being sent to America during the War of 1812. He remained in America after being attacked robbed in New York state. He married Clarissa Covey on September 7, 1823, in Antwerp, Jefferson County, New York, and died Setember 16, 1861.
I am particularly interested in his parent's and/or siblings names and any military records that may be available, although any information is appreciated.
