I am looking for the of birth in Yorkshire of John Wilkinson, born December 29, 1821 (date confirmed in several sources). His father is said to have been Charles Wilkinson, although I have found no source for that other than a biographical note about John. John and two siblings came to America in 1840, name of ship unknown. I have no idea where to begin looking for his birth/christening record and would welcome suggestions.
