Hello, I'm the gt grandaughter of George Rhodes b.1876 Stainforth, Doncaster & Matilda Orton, b.1884, Doncaster. They were married on 2 Sept' 1901 at Christchurch Doncaster. I am led to believe that they had 13 children. I can only find 8. Mary Francis, George Ernest, Edmund, Lucy, Claire, Lewis, Terrance, Sarah Ann & Arthur (my grandad). The eldest Mary Francis was born in 1902 & the youngest Terry in 1928.
On the 1901 census George lived on Frenchgate Yard. When George & Matilda first married they lived at 24 Francis Street Doncaster, (marriage cert') then they moved to St. Ledger Sq. Doncaster, (Mary Francis baptisim cert'), later they moved to Stainforth nr Thorne, (bapt' cert' for several children). Does any one have the same gt/grandparents? I'm at a dead end after chasing several parish records for baptisms. I don't know if these children are male or female.
