Thank you for replying. He was 30 years old, living at 43 Tenison Street, Lambeth. I'm pretty sure that his whole name was made-up. He said his father George Padman Scott-Riddle was an MP (not true). His own profession was given as an Aero Engineer. I've checked the electoral roll with Lambeth for 1939 and either side but no joy. He was apparently arrested but never charged. There were rumours that he could have been Australian or South African but again no luck.
