Hi Sandra I tried to post but I couldn't have done it properly. My grandad was called Samuel Baker born 22/10/1885 but I don't know where. He died in Nuneaton, Warwicks Sept 1965. Married in July 1923 to Mary Ann Barlow (nee Tonks). He had not been married before, she was a widow. His dad's name on the marriage cert was Thomas Baker (it says he was deceased). From time of marriage 1923 till he died he lived in Bedworth, Warwicks. I have his medal card index from WW1 and that is as far as I can trace him back. I cannot place him from WW1 back to 1885. He was my mum's dad. I have asked my cousins and my sister we can all remember him but we know nothing about him we were all just kids/teenagers when he died in 1965. Thanks for your help. Maggie
