Thank you for those details. I think Selina should have been around 19 in 1881 so the Selina you found seems unlikely. On the other hand there may be a family link as more unusual names do seem to run in families. That's an angle worth my investigating.

The suggestion re sickness is one that hadn't occurred to me.

I know she lived till 1943. I still help to tend her grave in Stafford.
