I would get sks to check the staffordshire church records for you.
It is out of the question for Thomas to have married in 1820 as he was only 10 years old And Northumberland is 220kms from Rocester.
He had obviously moved away from Rocester and Sarah came from Madeley so I would imagine that they married in either Madeley or Newcastle.
