James Muddle, 93, of 2342 Turner Road, died Sunday at the Ford Hospital in Detroit after a lengthy illness. Born in Sussex, England, he had resided in Windsor for 45 years. Pre-deceased by his wife in 1946 he is survived by two sons, Thomas James, of Aylmer and Leslie Powel of St. Thomas, Ontario; two daughters, Mrs. William (Connie) Garrison, of Riverside; Mrs. Thomas B. Bouse of Detroit; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral service will be held Wednesday 1.30 p.m. at the James H. Sutton Funeral Home, 937 Ouellette Avenue, with Rev. George A. Wishart officiating. Burial will be in Windsor Grove Cemetery. (Windsor Star, Monday, February 27, 1961) [Windsor, Ontario, Canada]
