If Samuel Hooper SHAW died in Blagdon - his death would have been registered in the Axbridge Registration District.

There were 38 different parishes in the Axbridge district including, Weston-super-Mare, Cheddar, Wedmore, Blagdon, Burnham, Wick St Lawrence, Winscombe, and of course Axbridge itself.

Your best chance of finding out where he was buried is to find out exactly where he died and that should be on the death certificate. British Death certificates do not give a tremendous amount of information.
The date and place of death, the name, occupation and age of the deceased and the name and address of the informant.
It is likely that he would be buried near where he died.

There is a good guide to civil registration on http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/RdLeaflet.asp?s...
and if you want to know more about each county - http://www.genuki.org.uk describes each county and will list the registration districts in ach county. Hope this helps you understand the system
