I am desperately hoping someone can perform an 1841 census search, since it might reveal whether one William Brewer, born in North Petherton in 1800, is my ancestor. His son, James, born in 1819 in North Petherton (or Creech St. Michael depending on the census return) is my ancestor, but the earliest I find locate him is in Brynmawr in 1845, where he lists a "Willliam Brewer" as his father on his marriage certificate. I then found a William Brewer in Creech St. Michael in 1851, along with wife Ann, two sons, a daugther and father. I am hoping an 1841 return will show James at home still, and thus confirm the theory that this is the right family. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
