I have an interest in two brothers, William Cole and John Cole. William's wife, Elizabeth (nee Doughty) was involved in a dispute in Boston, Massachusetts with her brother, Reverend Francis Doughty over their portions of the estate of their father, Francis Doughty of Bristol who died in 1634. In 1639, William Cole stated that he was late of Sutton, Chew Magna, Somerset. His brother John in a deposition that same year declared he was a resident of Farrington, Somerset.
I believe William is my ancestor and may have been christened at St Werburghs, Bristol on Sept 27, 1601. John christened same place Dec 7, 1595. Both sons of William Cole and Alice Gines of Northway, Gloucestershire married Nov 25, 1594 at Ashchurch.
