Looking for information on William (Willie) John Marchant born 1897/8 in Taunton, Somerset Uk, I think he was married to a Sedgbeer (1925) and a Butcher (1941) I believe he was in the Merchant Navy but am trying to find out if he spent any time in South Africa. The Merchant navy has a record for John Marchant from Taunton for the year, but shows no discharge number which i find puzzling, can anyone shed some light on this as I dont have access to this record, Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
