Sorry I have been responding to this incorrectly. The basic information I have come up with is there is a recorded death for
Emily
Parfitt age 36 registered
Cardiff 11a 217 in the March qtr of 1901. That would tie in with the birth of the son.
There is a marriage for an
Oliver Parfitt in the June 1892 June Qtr and it woould look as if he married an Emily Lucy
Rossiter registered at Clutton in
Somerset. (Ref Clutton 5c 1038). (Note that Maggie
Perkins pointed out "The ceremony was registered at the Midsomer
Norton Sub-Office of the Clutton Registration District and took place at St. Nicholas Church at Radstock.")
She would seem to have been born /registered June qtr 1862 Shepton
Mallet 5c 609. but this would make her 10 years older than him and so checked the census returns
Emily
Rossiter in the 1891 census is the cook at the Rectory, Market Place, Radstock,
Somerset, aged 22 and giving her birth place as Stoke
Lane, which does sound about right.
But in the 1881 census she is with her family and aged 18, still born Stoke
Lane, so I think she was economical with the truth about her age - a womans privilege.
That is all superficial and you would have to delve deeper to make sure it was correct. Hope it is some help.
