Interested to read your message re the Wingfield family. My Great Grandfather was James Wingfield b1838, who married Sarah Pulford. His father was also James b1802 who married Francis Aylward. I too have had no success finding his parents or the fam,ily before 1802. We have visited Wingfield and there are still Wingfields living in the village. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to contact them. I would be interested to make contact.
