I'm seeking information for any of the following names:

Daniel LINZY (1806 - 1884)
William H. LINZY (1839 - 1921)
John Horace LINZY (1828 - 1906)
Edith WELLS (1807 - 1873)

I've researched the Linzy family of Ossian, Livingston County, NY for several years now, and am just beginning to trace the family back to England. The only thing I know is that they came from County of Oxford in England. I believe they emigrated after 1839, but before 1844.

Any information you can share will be welcome. The LINZY name in NY is most often spelled with a Z with a few variations. I don't really think it was an Ellis Island name change when Linsey or Linsay is a more common spelling.
