Hi Pennie
Family Support IGI Index:
Samuel Clack abt 1704 Filkins Broadwell. Burial 26 feb 1760 Broadwell (that fits with a burial on the PR for Broadwell.
Spouse Elizabeth Simpson abt 1706 Filkins Broadwell.
Marriage 29 Sep 1725.
Children: Samuel Clack 1734; Ann Clack 2 Oct 1736; Parents Samuel Clack & Elizabeth Simpson. On another IGI Index I found John Clack 27 Dec 1749 Parents Samuel Clack & Elizabeth. It doesn't give a maiden name so it might not be Simpson.
Burial: Elizabeth Simpson 1738 Broadwell.
On another Tree from Genes Reunited I found: Samuel Clack's birth as 1725. He too was married to an Elizabeth Simpson from Filkins Broadwell.
This Samuel is listed as the husband of Elizabeth Simpson married at Kencot 1759. I thought that Samuel was born in 1734.
I wonder if there has been a mix-up of a 1725 marriage and a 1725 birth. That doesn't add up though as I think this Samuel is the son of Samuel 1704.
I know there are two sets of Samuel's & Elizabeth's both from Broadwell. I came across them some time ago.
Finally there was the old posting I found for 8 May 2002 which read 'Today I have found the marriage of Samuel Clack & Elizabeth Simpson 1725'.
I am now thoroughly confused. Am I correct in thinking that where there is a complete date given then the data is probably drawn from a source data and has some basis of fact?
Regards
Maureen
