I am trying to trace the birth certificates of Agnes Florence Brown and Fred Brown. Agnes gave her birth year as 1883 when she was in the Daventry Union Workhouse but later documents would place her birth year as 1885. Fred Brown is mentioned on the 1901(Byfield) census as being eight years of age and having been born in Uppingham, Rutland. I can find no trace of either of them on BMDs, is it possible that they were not registered? If so does anyone have any ideas on how I might take my research further? I know their father was William George Brown and that he married Sarah Eyles in 1896 but I can find no trace of him prior to this date either. I have no information on their mother. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
