I am trying to find a missing link to the Charleton's of
Northumberland. My grandmother "Surman" on my father's side was a decendant, through her mother, a "Pain"(The pai piano).I have a photo of Lord Charlton and notes by a sister of my grandmother about him. Evidently his daughter married "beneath her". Beyond my greatgrandmother I have nothing else. Oh, we have his (Lord Charlton's cuff links!). Thank you for info.
